Who can present an oral presentation at the retreat?

Only members of the 2023 Plant Breeding Graduate Program cohort are eligible to participate in oral presentations. Oral presenters should submit a one-page proposal including student name, major, degree, advisor name, crop studied, scholarship type (if any), and a 200-word research abstract of the work to be presented to the registration form by July 23, 2026.
Who can present a poster at the retreat?

Anyone working in plant breeding at UF!
When will I know if I am presenting?

Presenters who fit the criteria for presenting a poster are automatically accepted upon submitting their abstract.
What size poster should I bring to the retreat?

Posters should be in landscape orientation and the dimensions need to be 32" x 40” to properly fit the poster board stands.
Is there a poster template available?

There is no specific template required for this event. However, UF provides several templates for academic posters.
